Cyclone Marcia Relief Appeal
A Rotary Australia Benevolent Society ( RABS) appeal
At its peak, Cyclone Marcia in Queensland during February caused 69,500 premises to lose power, at least 1000 homes suffered structural damage and 385 properties have been deemed uninhabitable. The Insurance Council of Australia has received 8950 claims, with the estimated losses now standing at $67 million. These numbers are confronting, but they are nothing compared to the human suffering the cyclone caused.
