Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd (RAWCS) and Rotary Australia Benevolent Society (RABS) assist Rotary Clubs develop and manage National and World community service projects. Australian Rotarians participate in activities to improve the lives and living conditions of others and to promote international understanding and goodwill.
RAWCS Overseas Aid Fund and Rotary Australia Benevolent Society are Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) so are able to offer tax deductible donations from organisations who wish to support our worthy projects within and outside Australia. Six areas of focus have been identified by Rotary International. These areas reflect critical humanitarian issues and needs that Rotarians are addressing worldwide. RAWCS Projects align with these areas and examples of projects in these areas are available below.

Maternal and Child Health Programs
Discover a project to provide updates to Loisa Hospital on Trobrian Island, Papua New Guinea to "Save the Kula Babies" by improving pre-natalcare for mothers and medical and health aspects of birthing and nutrition
Water and Sanitation
Year 12 students from Western Australia, as an alternative to "Schoolie's week" , help with a Timor Leste village project that provides water wells.
Peace and Conflict Prevention / Resolution Programs

Basic Education and Literacy Programs
Orkeeswa Secondary School is located in rural, north western Tanzania, and is part of the Indigenous Education Foundation of Tanzania . The Rotary Club of Geraldton, WA, is raising funds to provide improved facilities at the school, a computer room, science building, a library and a sports pitch.
Economic and Community Development Programs
The project in Fiji aims to alleviate subhuman living conditions for impoverished families. Volunteers working with community residents have built 705 homes in country areas and 111 homes at Koroipita community, Lautoka. Around 3600 people have been housed.

RAWCS has established the Rotary Australia Benevolent Society (RABS) to assist Rotary Clubs and Rotary Districts within Australia to respond to needs within their own communities and to gain tax deductibility for donations made to their projects which provide direct relief to people in need.
